ASIC issues new guidance for exchange-traded products
ASIC has released a new Regulatory Guide, Exchange traded products (RG 282), which consolidates and updates previous guidance for the exchange-traded product (ETP) market (which includes ETFs). The aim of RG 282 is to simplify and clarify the regulatory framework to support market integrity and consumer protection.
RG 282 explains the general and specific obligations for ETP issuers and market operators, including requirements related to portfolio disclosure, product naming, liquidity, and market-making arrangements. Read more here.
