New and Improved AUSTRAC Online
A new and improved AUSTRAC Online platform is scheduled to launch on November 15, 2025. The existing functions for enrolment, registration, and reporting will remain the same. Read more here.

Stay Vigilant Against Share Sale Fraud
ASIC is warning firms to be vigilant against share sale fraud, which can occur through account takeovers or new accounts using stolen credentials. To combat this, strong pre-trade controls should be implemented, such as removing Direct Market Access (DMA) where appropriate, and conducting timely reviews of trading activity. It is crucial to act quickly by promptly reporting all suspicious activity to help protect clients and maintain the integrity of Australia’s financial markets. Read more here.

ASIC’s Approach to Breach and Complaints Data
ASIC has outlined its plan to publish two public-facing dashboards to increase transparency and accountability in the financial system.
Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) Data: ASIC will publish firm-level data, with changes to protect privacy and provide context. This is intended to enhance transparency, hold firms accountable, and align with existing external dispute resolution (EDR) data publications.
Reportable Situations (RS) Data: Due to concerns about the new reporting regime’s maturity, ASIC will publish aggregate-level data instead of firm-level data. The RS dashboard is scheduled for publication in October, while the IDR dashboard will be published later in the year. Read more here.
Policies affected: Complaints and Breach Reporting if required
